Problem When the blower is set on AUTO, AUTO-HI or HI, the fan comes on for 5 seconds then turns off for 10 seconds. This happens both in AC Mode and ECONOMY Mode. This on/off cycle repeats constantly. Sometime the on/off times change a little. What works When the blower motor is set on AUTO-LO or LO, all works fine in both the AC and ECONOMY mode. Numbers When I go into the ACP diagnostics I read the following: Blower LO----------------------40% Blower AUTO-LO-------------75—85% Blower HI-----------------------99% Blower AUTO-HI--------------89% No Codes Voltage at blower 12V + Ground at blower to chassis gnd—0 resistance Vince P =================================================== Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Apologize for the above short reply. Have more time now. I replaced my blower motor. It worked for a few months then the intermittent operating reappeared. I "wiggled" the plug and it worked again for another few months then back to working intermittent. This time I unplugged and closely examined the contacts in the connector at the end of the pigtail from the car. I noticed the plastic surrounding the contact nearest the key(notched side of the connector) appeared slightly melted. I took a very small screw driver and pried this contact until its opening closed up. This ensured a tighter connection when plugged into the blower motor. Haven't had problems since(over a year). Almost sounds like the ACP controller is mistakenly running the "computer cool down" mode...I believe the 94's have this feature (my 95' does)...It only occurs when the computer senses that it is too hot and it cycles the blower fans for 5 seconds to cool itself off.... Or the ACP computer is overheating when you run AUTO, AUTO-HI or HI so it deafults to the "computer cool down" mode....Just a thought A.J. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
