GreenMachine
I was wondering if any of you have found a "great" tire shine. The few I have tried were, I'll admit cheap, and not only didn't last long but more or less didn't really shine they way I had hoped and seen others shine. The Green's Machines 1998 Deville - high mileage, keeps on going, custom cat-back exhaust 2003 Seville - stock low mileage goodness! 2004 Grand Prix GTP CompG - Smaller supercharger pulley, Ported Exhaust Manifolds, Dyno tune, etc 1998 Firebird Formula - 408 LQ9 Stroker motor swap and all sorts of go fast stuff
chazglenn3
I am currently using Armor All Extreme Tire Shine Gel...works great, looks great, and lasts about 2 weeks. Charles Charles
KHE
I use "No Touch Wet 'N' Protect" from Sams Club - it has no petrouelum distillates. It is relatively inexpensive and seems to last. JasonA
If I used anything, it would be something that specifically states "no petroleum distillates". I'll have to check out that product at Sam's Club. I currently don't use anything, but I did like Michelin's new products, specifically their tire shine. It lasted long enough (I wash the car and scrub the tires weekly anyway) and Michelin, obviously, states that it's safe for their tires, and any tire. Regardless of the brand, I'm comfortable using a dressing specifically marketed by a tire company because I know it won't contain anything detrimental to the tire, unlike most other shines/dressings out there. But like I said earlier, I'm not really using anything now. I scrub the tires often enough that dressing is really money wasted for me, and I kinda do like the clean fresh look that only a dry tire can provide. I sort of got over the glossy look that I used to LOVE. Anymore, it just adds visual "weight" to the tire that's kind of hard to explain. A natural tire just looks "fresh" and "crisp" to me...a clean one anyway. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?" adallak
A clean tire looks great without any shine if you ask me. The saddest thing in life is wasted talent
GreenMachine
I know what your saying about the clean tire looking good. I cleaned mine up real good and my neighboors were asking about the new tires I told them not new, just clean. Car does look good like that..... ....but on the otherhand without whitewalls the plane black needs something.
