Cadillac Jim
If it took two weeks, it may have gotten fixed when a traveling GM expert got there to deal with it. Or, two or three techs took time working with it and comparing notes until they found it. An intermittent problem that isn't identified by the codes is the nightmare of any mechanic, service manager, and dealer. They are very, very rare and usually occur in the first few weeks or months of regular use. I've heard of dealers swapping with the customer for another new car and letting GM fix it, then selling it as a demo (if under 2,000 miles) or as a guaranteed used car. You have a very good dealer. He invoked the big guns at GM for a 99 DeVille when he couldn't fix it with his on-site resources. Make sure he knows that you understand and appreciate him. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
