Hi all. My new eldo is so quiet that the little things bug me. Anyway my windows rattle in the doors when they are down. I typically love to drive with the windows all the way down when it is nice, especially being not having frames around the windows. I was wondering if there is a guide track in the door at the front and back of the window like the traditional doors? I know they like to rot on the traditional doors so maybe these have the same issue. Thanks
My son just bought his first car, 87 Deville Sedan. Motor and Transmission sound, Interior very good (needs a new headliner). Body very good, no rust, one 'crunch' driver-side rear roof-side area (hard to describe, lol) nothing some bondo can't repair, some faded paint areas. He only paid $600. The major issue is NONE of the windows will roll down. Previous owner says he replaced the motor on drivers side, didn't work. The mechanic said he didn't do anything out of the oridinary with the electrical system and I tend to believe him. Anyway, does anyone have any theories as to what might have happened to my po
My driver's window is down and won't go up. I got the door panel off (that was fun!), and my motor has a belt or "tape" that is perforated. It rotates forwards and backwards but it is not attached to anything. Using a mirror I can see what looks like the black portion of a regulator guide clip at the top of the rear channel (of the regulator?). I don't see anywhere else for the belt to attach to. It has to anchor to at least two spots to move the window doesn't it? Does anybody have a diagram or picture of the inside of the 88 Deville door showing the window movement components? I would be gra
