Hey all, I'm looking at buying a 2003 CTS with 45k original miles that needs to have the oil cooler replaced. Does anyone have a list of additional parts required for the install and any recommendations? I did find good installation instructions online and will share them if anyone is interested. Thank you, Jim
I am about to replace my leaking oil pressure sending unit (on the left side of the oil filter adapter in the pictures below, with a drop of oil on it) on my '97 DeVille. I have a new AC Delco oil pressure sending unit and two new o-rings for the oil filter adapter, but I wonder if I also need two o-rings for the oil cooler. I must admit that I am not even sure if I have an oil cooler or not. I have to pay to use a lift (these are photos from an earlier oil change, when I did not know that I should look for oil cooler lines), so if anyone could tell me if I have an oil cooler or not from the pictures, that would save me an extra trip to the lift. Is the aluminum pipe that can be seen in the first picture (just below the oil filter adapter) an oil cooler pipe? /Jonas (By the way, the golden brown stuff on the beams is anti-rust coating, in case anyone wonders.)
