  1. Hey all, I'm looking at buying a 2003 CTS with 45k original miles that needs to have the oil cooler replaced. Does anyone have a list of additional parts required for the install and any recommendations? I did find good installation instructions online and will share them if anyone is interested. Thank you, Jim
  2. MY '05 CTS MAKES AN ODD NOISE AT THE RIGHT FRONT OF THE MOTOR, ONLY OCCASIONALLY, SEEMS LIKE AT A CERTAIN RPM, I'VE CHECKED EVERY SHIELD AND THE CAT, CANT FIND ANY LOOSE PART, SOUNDS LIKE METAL VIBRATING ON METAL OR SPRING, OR VIBRATING DISC BRAKE BAKING PLATE, BUT CAN'T FIND THE CAUSE, I EVEN GUTTED THE RIGHT CAT, STILL SAME NOISE, CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. HELP!
  3. I have a CTS 04 3.6L and the sunroof has a genration 1 and generation 2 version... my question is how can I tell the difference when looking for the part? My CTS had 1st gen, when I replaced it was w/ 2nd gen and about 2 1/2 inches to short but only on the teeth of the track. I need to find the right generation but have no idea how to identify.... Any details or information would be AMAZING!! Thank you!

After replacing the bulb and checking the wires, still no turn signal. I Googled to try to find out what could be the problem and found out that the sockets on the '05 can fail due to thermal damage since the running lights were designed to stay one when headlights are off, which increases the duty cycle. The same problem can also occur with the '06. GM issued a bulletin about the sockets being a problem. When trying t
  5. Hello- I have an 05 CTS with the 3.6. The engine started to chatter, and i the dealer suggested replacing the timing chaing before it broke causing more problems (bent valves and such). I researched this issue and I decided that it was worth replacing the timing chain. I did not have the experience or time or desire to do it, so i brought it back to the dealer. The dealer then called a few days later and said there was bad news, and that some pipe that was rusty broke while they were moving it. Unfortunately the service advisor didn't seem to know enough to explain it in detail, but he s
