Hi all. I rarely post about my 97 Seville. Still love it. Noticed on a recent road trip that my resume/ accel part of the cruise control is not working. Everything else works but that. Every time I had to stop cruise I could not resume, had to hit set every time. I swapped the stalk today (even though I have never had one not work) and it made no difference. I have never really had any issues with the cruise units in the mid 90s once they did away with the vacuum type. Any ideas on what I might have to get into would be much appreciated. I may have a spare cruise unit kicking around but dont want to change it unless I have to. Thanks All. Happy motoring

I have a 1999 Deville in Mint condition 50k miles & recently I purchased Bridgestone Touzana touring tires, the very next day I took a short trip (100 miles ) during the trip my cruise control stopped working, on the trip home the check engine light came on. I took my car to my mechanic & he put it on the computer & the code came up check electric, he reset it several days later while taking another trip it stopped working again but no Check Enginge light. Is it possible that the new tires could have caused this problem ? if not any idea's ?

Cruise stopped work today. Display says "Cruise Engaged" but it won't hold speed. I checked the two hoses for vacuum leaks but there aren't any. The big hose (connected to the brake I believe) doesn't have any vacuum pressure while engine idle, but I'm not sure how it supposed to be? The car is very clean overall. There are no current/history codes related to the cruise control. Any suggestions what to do would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
