Cross-ref here for 98 but similar:

Quite a few yes.  Is there a specific symptom that you also are finding?

The B codes are body short circuits (windows, seats, memory settings); the C codes chassis (suspension, stabilitrak), the U codes are bus communication issues.  Good new is no P codes for engine issues.

Several of these seem to suggest the system is shorted to ground, which may mean water incursion, or frayed wiring, or poor ground -- such as lost ground strap(s)?

Can you post the specific trouble codes (DTCs)?

  4. Sighted a couple of Lambos and a McLaren on the road recently on different days, but glad to be in the Gray Shark,… https://t.co/LtxbD9Ztdr

Neither sighting aligned with opportunity away from traffic.   One would suppose they get that all the time too.

I found problem today before i decided to check fans i then started checking fan connectors and fan speed module and bingo, fans came on within 5 minutes yet i had been driving around prior to checkin and it cooled down only a brief 20 mins. And keep in mind i never let my gauge climb higher than 235/240 i would shut it off thats how i noticed when fans wasnt working cuz my car has always kicked on by that point, i sure am glad i caught this b4 it really starts getting into a very hott summer

That was always the intent and certainly Eldorado is spoken here.

  9. Well, just had to visit a local dealer. Looking to purchase this Chevy Traverse - all the space I need for the 5 of us. I'm keeping the Cadillac but she's on the back burner for repairs and pending sale. Gonna miss her.

Good luck on the Traverse; sounds like a good fit.

  10. Hello Bruce! Thanks for a great forum! Very useful. Is it possible for me to change my user name somehow? Thanks in advance. Fred

You get that ability in user panel after a certain nbr of posts as I recall. I can change your display name for you; what would you like it changed to?

  11. Hello, would like to ask some Service engine questions about my 1998 Deville, which I purchased like 4 months ago.

  12. I'm of course having issues with my cooling system on my 96 Eldorado. I believe one problem is my temp sending sensor. My car can have been sitting off for 10 hours and I'll start it and within 60 seconds the needle is at the half way point. I know from what I've read that this sensor is located under the resevior tank on passenger side. However it doesn't look easy to get to. Does anyone have any advise on getting to the sensor and if that is infact where it's located?

Hi there, and welcome to CaddyInfo. Please also put a post about your cooling system issue -- not everyone is good about monitoring the status or profile feeds. Here's one temp sensor, item 7, p/n 15326386 link: http://parts.nalleygmc.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=379353&ukey_make=1023&ukey_model=14467&modelYear=1996&ukey_category=0&ukey_driveLine=0&ukey_TrimLevel=0&ukey_modelRange=0&searchString=sensor
