  1. I have a 2004 Deville DTS, Getting older and tougher to see in the Dark. When backing up I can barley tell that the reverse lights are even on. I just bought the car within the last year and don't know how old they are. I know they do dim over time. I was reading and saw there are LED reverse bulbs that supposedly plug right in and are brighter. Has anyone tried them? Is there a noticeable difference between the normal bulbs? Any suggestions would be welcome.
  2. I have a 2004 DTS drivers window stopped working half way down. From reading I figured the regulator went bad. Ordered a new one, strange thing is that you cant get the motor with the drivers side window all the rest you can regulator and motor, no one could tell me why. Replace the regulator with original motor and it does not work. There is a door module that I can hear clicking mounted on the door. How can you Check the Motor?Any suggestions?

  4. Need to replace Pads and rotors as brake light came on, car is new to me and mechanic doing safety inspection said I would need them soon (fronts). I am guessing that since the light came on there is a sensor on them? I have been looking online at pads and rotors(also full kits) and none come with or show sensor wires. don't want to find out after its apart. Also I see a lot of slotted rotors out there, I don't do a lot of stop & go or hard driving, I am assuming the slots are for heat dissipation? and figured the more surface area the better. Thoughts?
  5. I have 2004 DTS 109k on it, Info display shows 38% life left on trans fluid. My mechanic says if it an't broke don't fix when it comes to a transmission. Any thoughts?
  6. New to the forum just got a 2004 Deville, on the doors it looks like a plastic edging to prevent nicks, the problem is that dirt or mildew got under the adhesive and looks horrible. I am thinking that a heat gun would loosen it up to remove, has anyone had this issue? also can you get replacement strips?
