Larry
Here is my thread on the bypass belt, see my #14 post in this thread, its AC/Delco 6K739 http://caddyinfo.ipb...?showtopic=2054 Thanks so much , I will pick up tomorrow and install. Several years ago I had new compressor installed and air never really got cold. I never had a new condenser installed. The Mechanic could not get to cool very well,so I lived with it. I think I will install new compressor and condenser, and try again. Thanks so much, LARRY
Ranger
Was the orifice tube changed or at least the screen cleaned? Maybe that's your problem. If the first compressor went bad it puts debris in the system and the orifice tube screen gets clogged.

The guy at auto store matched the belt number you gave me , to a gates belt. The guy that worked on it works on air conditioners all the time, he could not figure it out. Someone told me that the condenser gets clogged and cannot be clean even when flushed. Anyway with a little more thought I may buy a new compressor orifice tube, dryer and condenser and try again, thanks again, LARRY,
