Check the tensioner to see if it is binding at all. My 98 Deville had that after they changed the radiator. Are you watching the temp displayed on your information system? Mine went up to over 240 F. From memory the fan kicks on about 220. According to the dealor, the auto shut down sensor is on the other side of where the bypass gets clogged. If I recall your AC is not functioning is that correct? In that case, you probably will hit 226-228 before it starts to drop is that nornal or should work on the AC to get the car runnin coller?i drove it yesterday at 95 F outside n stop n go traffic it got to 206, then i drove it again at night at 85 F it got to 203 an started droping back 190s dose that seem nornal to u? With the AC off, the FANS don't turn on till 226 to 228 and you will see wider ranges of temps.
