Replacing A Hub Bearing On A 2010 Cadillac CTS

Recommended Posts

My wife's 2010 Cadillac CTS was getting two DTC's (C0045 and C0242) and also had ABS, stabilitrack, and traction control lights were on. I was hoping it was just the wheel speed sensor but unfortunately it ended up being the hub assembly. The hub assembly has a magnetic ring on the back of the wheel bearing that the speed sensor picks up information from. Once the old hub assembly was removed I could see that the magnetic ring was missing a small piece. Once I had the new hub assembly installed and cleared the DTC's with a scanner the car was running great again. This is not a easy job so definitely take your time! If you have any questions post in the comments and I will try to answer them the best I can. Good Luck!
