Bruce Nunnally
One of the guys at ctsowners cut open the mufflers on his CTS-V to see what is inside the casing: Looks like a pretty good aftermarket performance muffler -- although the 90 degree bends are not good for flow, the exhaust does appear to offer straight through with turns flow. The holes in the pipe allow sound to escape into the insulation packing. One reason performance exhausts for the V might not add a ton of HP is that its already got one? olddog
Bruce, I am interested in changing mufflers and will do so if I can eliminate resonance (Corsa's are great for this) AND, if possible, to keep the car quiet. I think a Cadillac should not sound like a Corvette or Mustang. Do you have any information on a 'quiet' freer flowing unit or do you recommend staying with OEM? Thanks.
