simonsrx Posted December 15, 2010 Report Share Posted December 15, 2010 Hey everyone... I am new to this so I don't know if I am posting in the right place, or if I am in the right topic area? I bought a 04 SRX last year, and since I got it, I had to replace a caliber, fix a bolt in the sunroof when it collapsed, don't get me started on the blinker! it doesn't blow out hot air in the rear only cold, and now the air conditioning died, also the the sunroof is making a clicking noise and barely opens or closes(so I don't use it, and rarely ever did anyways!) now the drivers heated seat is not working either. 1 week after I bought it it started cutting out and it took several trips to the dealer to see if they could find the issue, and the breaks are repeatedly having to be put in the remove the rust to stop a grinding noise. Recalling on this e-mail I am going to copy it to the dealership! It is too bad because I really do love this car, the way it drives, feels, the safety I feel when I am in it and everything except all the problems! Please help! Any advice?!? It sounds like you are getting the irksome type of problems that crop up after the warranty runs out The caliper was probably not needed, mechanics LOVE to replace calipers when the sliders are frozen or the piston is out so far that is does bind, but once the piston is back in its ok. You might want to purchase a code reader and have the DTC codes read. I think Autozone does it for free. But they will only be able to pull P codes or powertrain codes.What was wrong with the blinker?, bulbs? The rear AC problem is probably due to an actuator, that should have set a code, but you will need someone with a Tech 2 to read it, I think... anyone know the answer to that?, is a Tech 2 required now? Not sure why you are having problems with the brakes, maybe someone used AFTERMARKET pads, not a good thing to do Not sure why you are having problems with your sunroof What caused the cutting out?
