In fact, Cadillac was so confident in the new CTS-V, they told everyone to "meet the fastest V-8 production sedan in the world." And they weren't kidding. Turns out, the new LSA-powered Cadillac would be the fastest, most powerful sedan in American history, topping everything that had come before it, without making a single compromise to get there. After all this is a Cadillac, and driving one means you get only the finest the General has to offer. So, why mess with a perfect formula? Having a mere car length or so on the BMW M5 and Audi S8 at a fraction of the cost simply wasn't enough. Especially since we knew we could improve on what Cadillac had given us without destroying the heart and soul of this luxurious sedan.
