I just order front and back Performance Friction Carbon Metallic Brake Pads. I'm thinking about wasting some money and buying drilled rotors. I mainly bought the pads for longer life. I'm a little tired of replacing pads every 20,000 miles. Also, I hope they stop better.

What type (brand) of pad have you been using?

I have almost 40,000 on my DTS ... still has the original pads.
Maybe I need to check and see how much is left of them.
I don't think I have ever used pads that didn't last longer than 20,000.

Depending on the compound used in making the pads some just squeak. It's a vibration. If you have a lifetime warranty, take them back.

Carbon Metallic pads are our most popular brake pads.Performance friction carbon metallic brake pads have no clay fillers, they'll outlast the competition 2 to 3 times, and will be the pad best suited for most people's daily driving needs.
