Dad
Help, I have a 96 Seville with 79,000 miles. I have a a lot of noise on the passenger side of the motor and it seems to emanating from the Cams? I have changed the Power steering pump, the large Idler pulley and I do not feel or hear any noise or vibrations from the compressor or the Crank. OldCadTech
Since it is VERY difficult to try to diagnose a noise long distance, try to post a cell phone video with audio or take it to a repair shop and have them listen to it. rockfangd
I am not sure of the noise you are hearing but check the blowout valve on the intake. It is behind the power steering pump on the side of the intake. What oil are you running? Is it a tapping, whistle, knock, Etc... That would help alot. BodybyFisher
Use either a mechanics stethoscope or 3/4 inch hose to your ear and touch the cam covers and timing cover to see if you can localize the noise, be careful of moving parts.
