BodybyFisher
Check your fuel pressure with a guage Check it with the key in On, engine off, Check it with it idling and then at 2000 rpm. Report the results here, if you dont have a gauge autozone may rent. BodybyFisher
One more thing, it usually causes a starting problem when the engine is warm/hot but check the fuel pressure regulator. With the engine idling, pull the vacuum hose off the regulator and see if fuel is present at all, rev the engine a few times and see if it spits fuel. KHE
10 MPG??! Is this from the fuel data computer on the dash or hand calculated? Either way I'd think there is unmetered fuel getting into the engine from a leaking fuel injector(s) or fuel pressure regulator. BodybyFisher
Wow. Check the fuel pressure regulator. Check codes again. Check fuel pressure. Do you have a check engine light on? You have this code current, P1602 Knock Sensor (KS) Module Performance This could be retarding your ignition and killing your gas mileage. Does it feel like a dog?, power lacking? OldCadTech
Remove any loose debris/dirt from around the injectors, Start the vehicle, let it run until normal operating temp is reached. Shut it down and lift the fuel rail, put some paper towels or shop towels down to cover the injector ports and check for leaking injectors. You have all the symptoms of more than one leaking. BodybyFisher
You do not need a gauge to check the fuel pressure regulator. With the engine idling, pull the vacuum hose off and check for the presence of fuel. The regulator is on the fuel rail near the egr Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
