This looks like fun.  This one in Houston but apparently coming to Dallas in August.  Watch for events in your area.

I have signed up for the Dallas Aug 6 event, so should be fun.  I always enjoy driving Cadillacs.

I got up early, and had a list of things I wish I had gotten done but didn't -- like detail the ATS-V, pre-fill it with gas, etc.  Then i realized today is not 8/6 -- that's next week.  My glass is half full.

Did this Cadillac Truth and Dare this morning.  Had a great time; well organized event with a registration/hosting pavilion and 4 event areas.  City driving, night vision, autocross, and acceleration were the four events.

The CT6 night vision is outstanding and well integrated with the car.  The demos made it clear what could be seen with and without night vision. Very impressive.

on the city driving I drove an XT5 and a CT6 TTV6.  The XT5 kickdown in touring is imho mistuned.  In sport it is better.  Otherwise the XT5 is very good.  The CT6 acceleration is good and it drives very well.  The massaging seats and night vision are good.  Can't wait to drive a V8 TT in this.  The CT6 is an exceptional full size Cadillac.

The video rear view mirror is good but takes getting used to. it needs a different focus from your eyes to resolve than an analog mirror view.  for me that meant peripheral view of objects in the mirror was reduced.  Obviously it offers more visibility once you are looking at it than a mirror.  It can be flipped to video or mirror.

I think a larger version of this would work better.

Snacks, lattes and fresh fruit were available free, and everyone received a Cadillac ballcap.

I had a great time and will post pics later.

CT6 in black is quite striking.

XT5 is clearly a crossover from the exterior but feels and drives like a sedan

This XT5 had a piece of metal in one tire, so I made sure to point that out to one of the event coordinators.

Registration was via touch-screen.  There were plentiful friendly helpers to get it all done.  You can see the hat rack behind the counter.
