No need for the sir stuff, we sound like we are barking orders and I apologize for that but some things have to be done in a sequence of events otherwise you can't properly diagnose the problem.

As an example you can't properly diagnose an electrical problem if the battery is dead. We cant diagnose a climate control problem if the A/c refrigerant is gone, low or overcharged, sorry but that is just the way it is.

THERE IS ALWAYS ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE JOB RIGHT - THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE JOB AGAIN !!!

Yes it may sound like barking orders but its important to keep in mind that we are not there, its sometimes easier to do, than explain.  We analyze your problem based on input we receive from you.  Did you ever hear the expression, you are only as good as your partner?, we need you to respond appropriately as much as you need us.  If you don't comply quickly to our questions or requests, problems drag on and become frustrating and it feels like you are carrying a piano.   Today between responding to you, I installed rear air shocks in a 98 Eldorado, diagnosed the Automatic Level Control, determined it was the compressor that was bad, and removed it.  I needed to pull out the rear seat and seat back because the relay was behind there facing forward, idiotic place to put relays Ill tell ya......that is a FORD idea.

Its important for you to reply and respond properly, and ask questions if you don't understand, the only bad question is the one not asked.   Work on your writing skills, respond in bullet point, separate paragraphs with same thoughts, use a new paragraph for each new issue, respond to questions in separate paragraphs NOT in a single run on sentence its hard to follow.

You saw how NOT checking the codes got you WAY off track, and I am SURE that my first post to you was to CHECK CODES LOL.....

I hope this helps you understand, this is a partnership here you and us.   We will do what we can

Have it looked at Monday by a professional Ac shop. I will let you guys know the outcome cause this could be helpful to someone else . My compressor is running clutch ingadged this happen after I put a small amount of freon in system . Exactly what I was hoping . So I am back to square 1 compressor running and hot air . If they say it the doors....then I'm am going to attempt to do it myself but if it's any thing else I'll let the shop do it (Golden rule auto ) 5 star rating I might add . So hopefully I'll be in good shape by next weekend . Sorry for the punctuation ?

Ok I checked on my lunch break and the pipes were not extremely cold . After I put the half can of freon in to see if the compressor would cut on. But like I said back till square one until Monday. My low side is on the high high red . The compressor is on and engaged . But hot air out of all vents even the back middle . Before all this months  back my Ac started blowing hot and stayed blowing hot until one day I had to get a jump and after the jump the air blew cold . Driver side has blew colder since I bought the car but they both blew cold so .. I'm thinking the door thing was a problem . But maybe it's somthing else too . Can wait till Monday to get this sorted out . I return the new refurbished compressor the guy tried to sell me for 195 ? I got hit with a nice restock fee 25%. Thanks guys for being patient with me my work hours are crazy. I sleep during the day working at night.

Using those small cans of freon and just letting out freon I am not surprised its not really cold.   For future reference NEVER use those little cans again have the job done professionally.  I have been doing mechanical work since I was 6 with my Dad, about 57 years and I leave AC charging to a PRO.

What kind of a gauge are you using to see HIGH HIGH RED?

Your AC could be charged perfect, but if the doors are broken and calling for heat it would not matter, you will get heat.

You are having problems with 2 doors, one is an actuator that controls the temperature of air delivered through the vents.  You will need a new actuator.

We will need to research the other door.

You have problems with both doors, but the actuator will definately cause HEAT to be delivered.  This code is caused by the actuator:

B1341 Air Mix Door Two Movement Fault

I just replaced 2 on a 98 Eldo.  They range from $60 at rockauto for a standard motor products make to $300 at the dealer each.  That clicking noise you heard in the dash is a dead give away that your actuator is bad.

The other code is new to me and we will need to research it

B1343 Air Inlet Door Movement Fault

I think this relates to the door that determines outside air or recirculate interior air.

What was the state of the charge?

$1400 is way too much money did he break down the costs?  Do you have any friends who are above average mechanically inclined.  Compressor is about $300, Condenser $150, actuator  $60, recharge $150, odds and ends say $100, so that is $700.  The condenser only needs replacing if there is debris in the orifice tube.

This is $1283 and at $100 per hour for labor implies about 5 hours worth of work. I trust that is to fix the doors also.    I quickly tallied $660 in parts and recharge but did not include the air inlet parts, orifice, or drier in case they change it, the $100 was a miscellaneous part estimate but I didnt include it in the $660 above.

Do you have a breakdown of all parts?, you need that.  The prices I gave you for parts  came from rockauto.  They may charge you more for parts.  Make sure you know what they are including and whether the actuators are included to fix the doors

Do NOT let them use a fourseasons compressor, we have had members have bad luck with them.

Flush kit ? Wow these Ac system ..........ok are they exspensive

?  You need to flush the system.  Provide a link to the refurbished compressor so we can look it over.

I would not call this an easy job.  Who is going to do the job?

Please dont start new threads on the same problem.  I will need to delete that thread and post it here.

You started a thread called "Being a refurbished compressor",  please keep all info on your AC job together

So why won't it let me upload my pic ? Says I'm only allowed to upload 204.8 kb

Yes there is a limit to photo size.  Is it a photo of the refurbished compressor?  Copy the link here if it is.

If you need to post the photo, you can use a hosting service like photobucket.com upload the photo there and then link it here
