Bruce Nunnally
The chrome trim along the edges of the fiberglass was aging poorly, but also was not needed. No need to replace really, just needs some clean up. The trim may actually have highlighted the wheel gap I want to decrease, so good to get it gone. Views of the overall Duke Roadster with the trim removed. Some residue from the adhesive still needed clean up in the photos. I found that brake cleaner took that right off. The Uhaul in the background was from a big moving adventure to bring some furniture back from Arkansas. Cadillac Jim
I believe that this type of edging is available for use on door edges and other areas in chrome, black, and paintable. Here's one I found in a quick web search, chrome, in rolls up to 150 feet (any multiple of 10 feet): http://www.brandsport.com/trmg-2105-c.html This same outfit has lots of other trim, chrome and otherwise, for repair/restoration/customization. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
