So I have a new problem. I am getting misfires. I changed out all 8 plugs and it ran great for about 3 weeks, then started to misfire again. I am a DIY kinda guy and I want to fix this myself. What could be wrong? I have heard and read everything from Bad boots on the ignition coils bad coils even cracked spark plugs..... I did notice 1 torn boot on one of the coils... could this be the problem?

That is very possibly your problem... the spark will arc from the cracked boot.

I would replace it before I did anything else to it....

  • 4 weeks later...

It would have been that easy if it were the correct one. I have been searching high and low JUST for the rubber boots themselves. I know there is somewhere out there that sells JUST the rubber boots... but I can not find them.

I'm sorry that wasn't what you were looking for...

It says that it is just the rubber boot and spring for a 2004 SRX V8....

This fits your: 2004 Cadillac SRX 4.6L V8 Gas D…
