Cadillac Jim
Here is a list of the RPO codes and their meaning from the FSM, mostly. Some, in ALL CAPS, weren't in the FSM and I got them from http://lonestarthunder.com/m_rpo.php (best effort, but no guarantees!). Cadillac Jim
In the 1997 model year, the car phone, OnStar, and the Homelite garage door opener were dealer-installed options. The sunroof is available from the factory but it wasn't on the car when I selected it, but dealers could install one from the same manufacturer that made them for GM. These vary slightly from the factory unit. The roof console is unchanged, but the factory sunroof shortens it and deletes the sunglasses holder. The dealer-installed sunroof has an auto-close feature that closes it when you turn off the key. The harness connector for the factory sunroof isn't used; a red and a pink wire are spliced onto like colors in the headlight/ignition switch mini-harness under the dash. My connections there were soldered by a mechanic. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
