!@#$ Rabbit!

Recommended Posts

Well, I am irritated. I live out in the country and am constantly dodging these suicide rabbits that dart up from the ditch and run across the road. This morning I missed two and even missed the third one but it reversed direction at the last moment and I got him. He must have knocked his skull against the front of the car pretty hard at 50mph as the fascia/bumper cover on the lower driver's side around the driving light is now broken. Ugh... $300 fascia and $410 worth of painting...

That is a shame Jeff, hard to believe a rabbit could do this.

For future reference consider opening a photobucket.com account and just linking your photos here, no more worries about the size of your photos,

I can't tell much from just a photo but the dent looks like it's just in the bumper cover. If so, it's a pull-out and touch-up job.

at higher speeds even the smallest do damage.

I almost hit 2 deer tuesday morning in my bus. I was booking and just barely noticed 3 at the last second. I swear I nicked the last one but didnt look back. that would have been interesting. Deer, skunks, and everything else have been outrageous this year.

Your damage looks pretty minor luckily. no way to repair it?

Wow, that's too bad! I feel your pain, having had many animal incidents myself... Ironically, tonight I was giving a free ride to a squirrel I caught in a live trap (according to my daughters direction) and had to swerve to miss a huge possum and then 2 deer about a mile further up!

Crazy around here lately, especially with deer. I've hit several of them already, including one on the motorcycle years ago. Lucky to have survived that one!

I once did plaster a rabbit, while driving my '79 VW Rabbit, and it totally wiped out my front spoiler and fog light!
