levenezia123
I have a "9" which I am selling and the buyer needs a "Y". Other than the hp, what is the difference between the two engines and what issues would he have if he purchased it? Please let me know. Thanks. JimD
A vehicle intended to use a "Y" engine also uses a "Y" PCM and a "Y" transaxle. Mixing and matching is not recommended. The torque curve of the "9" engine is not a good match for the "Y" transaxle final drive gearing. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
