olddog Posted April 11, 2012 Report Share Posted April 11, 2012 I have four boogered wheels on my STS-V - drat. The dealer, with my business discount, wants over 2300 for new wheels - OUCH! I prefer this wheel to aftermarket so what to do? I contacted Direct Performance in FL about wheels and was able to obtain four NEW OEM wheels, delivered to me in PA for a tad over 1300 and yes, I bought them. I want Pilots Sports for these but Michelin does not make any of the Sports that fit except the all season which I currently have - can you say NO traction at all? The all seasons are ok but not optimal for spirited riding or dry traction. Has anyone tried the Bridgestone RE970 tires for their car and, if so, how do you like them? When checked by the Hunter 9700 they were all found to be perfectly true etc. As to price: what can I tell you. All four new wheels were less than two new ones from the dealer.
