Bruce Nunnally
Exterior: Continues the CTS Art and Science design themes, which can be difficult on a smaller car. The best critique received is that it looks too conservative — what the critics don’t recognize is that Cadillac has masterfully made a small car look as good as the mid-size CTS. The team stayed with 18″ wheels to save weight, but they look in proportion to the ATS. Hidden front bumper. High tech lighting solutions. Conventional door handles retained to keep the chrome touches? cdgrinci
I'll call it a cleaner CTS; I kind of like it (and the design should have legs, meaning it will age well). IMO Chuck '19 CT6, '04 Bravada........but still lusting for that '69 Z-
Bruce Nunnally
Sounds like it is coming in at a terrific weight at <3,400 lbs. Compare to standard CTS Sedan at 3,854 lbs. The BIG question is if it can accelerate as well as a BMW 3-series. The real fame of the 3-series is balanced handling. That is a very subjective category, so it will just depend on the overall impression left with car reviewers. The 3-Series always puts up better numbers than you might expect. The 2012 328i model is powered by BMW’s TwinPower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, developing 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft or torque; zero-to-60 in a relatively brisk 5.7 seconds. BMW’s 335i makes 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque from its turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder;zero-to-60 time of 5.4 seconds. BMW achieves these via sprint gearing, light weight, and under-rating the engines(?). The ATS 2L Turbo needs to get to 60 in under 6 seconds and the V6 in 5.5 sec to match...we'll see if they can get it done. BodybyFisher
Characteristic grill, but I see Mercedes and Ford in that design also. Conservative, fresh, clean lines but it does not appear to be a small car in that photo Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
