xyxuhy
Yesterday, I accidentally drove my 2006 XLR with the truck upon in an underground garage, and damaged the exterior center mounted brake light at the tip of the trunk. Does anyone know what it will cost to replace? Should I purchase the part from someone other than the dealer, and then just have them swap them out? Logan
We do service the XLR third lamp as a mail-in-for-repair. That said, if the lens is damaged we have nothing currently to help you out. Pretty rare car. The XLR third brake lamp has been discontinued by GM (now...2014). About $700 for a new one...if you can find one. Here's one (of many) sources for XLR parts (at substantial savings); the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp for example, is available here: http://www.gmpartsoutlet.net/auto-parts/2004/cadillac/xlr/base-trim/4-6l-v8-gas-engine/electrical-cat/high-mounted-stop-lamp-scat P/N: 259025631 Price: $126.00 CC
