cadillacjeff7777
Can anyone give me some tips on how to disable the TPMS on our Chevy Impala without taking it to the dealer who may or may not disable it. 2008 DTS
Texas Jim
I'm sorry but I don't know how to disable it, but may I ask why you want it disabled?? If one of the sensors is bad. it can be replaced rather inexpensively at Discount Tire for about 50 bucks or so.
cadillacjeff7777
I want to be able to swap summer / winter wheels back and fourth without buying 4 more TPMS sensors and having to relearn the wheels every time. I may just bite the bullet and buy them though. I'd like to have a little warning before those 18's hit pavement. 2008 DTS

Not trying to tell you what to do, But I think that would be a smart move...having TPMS in all of the wheels. If you do business with Discount Tire... they have a little handheld device that only takes them about 30 seconds to reset all 4 wheels. And they do it for FREE... I had one of mine warn me of a tire going down as I was running down the interstate at 80 mph. Saved me ruining the tire and maybe the $800 chrome wheel at the same time. Mine has 50 series tires and 18 inch wheels.
