Gold Keys

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody!

bought a 1978 cadillac coupe deville last spring. california import. rust free. runs great

thing is....i only got one set of keys with it...n they look like *smurf*...

i bought a nice golden cadillac club of sweden keychain, so now i need keys to match

i've found several uncut goldkeys on ebay, but only 76...80...81...79...75...no 78's

so what im wonderin is...

is there any difference?

will the C n D keys from 76, 80 work?

Hello, the Cadillac dealer in the San Francisco Bay , Stewart Cadillac, 780 Serramonte Boulevard, Colma - (650) 994-2400, has keys in the parts dept.

Also try Putnam Cadillac in Burlingame, Calif.

do a web search.

otherwise measure your key dimensions and get same from the ebay vendor.

ain't worth saving a few bucks if the key won't work.

maybe your local dealer can get the key with your VIN number.

I cant guarantee it but Ill bet they are all the same. I know all the 80s GM G-body cars used the same keys for all the years. My 84 cutlass keys actually worked in my friends 87 regal. Cadillac ones look the same in those years.
