Just traded in my 97 DeVille for an 2010 SRX. As a snowbird to AZ I would disconnect the DeVille battery to store the Caddy over the 5-6 months that I was gone. Can I do that with the SRX or do I have to put a trickle charger on it all winter. I see a large black box (with three cables attached to the top) on the right of the engine and it must be the battery. Don

The picture in the owner's manual shows a positive terminal access on top of the battery in the engine compartment. That looks like the 3-cables going in you see.

I. Battery (Out of View). See Battery on page 9‑27.

J. Remote Positive (+) Terminal. See Jump Starting on page 9‑101.

This suggests to me that the battery is a bit difficult to access?
