I honestly don't "get" this car, other than it is a BMW.

Starting at $29,150 you get a car that is fairly unattractive, with a 230 hp inline six, and gets 28 mph highway.

The 135i has the turbo six and is a contender, but the 135i starts at $36K. So if you only have $30K to spend, and you want a BMW, the 128i.

I am sure owners will rave about how balanced it is and how lovely it steers. I would think you'd be happier with a used M3 for $30K, but whatever works.
