ok, i got all 500 nuts and bolts off and out of the plate that the water pump on my 93 deville is mounted on. (dang a couple of them were in TIGHT places!) anyway, i cant get the plate/pump out! theres just not enough clearance between the engine block and the body for the loose pully, plate, and pump to get through. or thats the problem im having anyway... does anyone have any suggestions or know of any tricks? i really dont want to start taking air conditioning refrigerant lines loose. but if i have to...

thanks in advance guys!

Take the 4 nuts off the pulley and take the pulley off. For future reference, take the pulley nuts off first, loosening them while the belt is on

I have this same issue. I took the pulley bolts out and the there is not enough room to get the pulley out? 93 Deville.

Is there a trick to this?
