1996 caddy
Ok I'm needing to replace a few things on my 1996 eldorado northstar, but I have to remove the engine along with the transmission. The problem I'm having is I can find a good source that describes the removale of the egnine with tranny in a step by step manor. Could some body please explain where I could go to find such a thing like a fatory service manual, or guide on here maybe. I really need to get my caddy back on the road...I miss the darn thing. Bruce Nunnally
The factory shop manual is by Helm, Inc and can be ordered from them at http://www.helminc.com in paper or DVD form. It costs $135 in paper or $400 in DVD (The DVD contains 5 years of data). You can often find it online on ebay for much less. Some have mentioned attempting to bittorrent the manual by searching for GM ESi but I can't recommend that due to the copyright issues.
