Rod
Reach under the rear bumper and tap the bottom of the gas tank with a rubber mallet. This jars the fuel pump and usually gets it running. This will only work so many times but it may help to get your car home without having to call a wrecker. I drove my car for almost a month doing this until I had the chance to replace it. Rod

That technique is NOT unlike, the method we have used around here to restart stalled window motors, where we slam the door holding the down/up button. If I am not mistaken, these motors get to the point where the brushes don't make good connection with the communicator and or it hits a dead spot, and banging the motor, can kick start the connection and start the motor. Good tip, Thanks As my Dad would say, that is using your head!
