BodybyFisher
A friend of mine told me to go to see Seven Pounds with Will Smith. She said, its a very weird movie, and its Will Smith like you never saw him before. All I can say is that this movie is INCREDIBLE. I went by myself (well me and the Caddy, ) and came out of the theater NUMB, DRAINED and CHANGED. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Will Smith is amazing. stsjoe
I saw Gran Torino yesterday, not a bad way to spend a afternoon, deceit movie. I'll check Seven Pounds out. Mike, going to the movies alone is okay but I was in Rochester NY for school 2 weeks ago and going out to dinner by yourself for a week is down right creepy! Texas Jim
I hate going to a restaurant by myself. Don't know why... I just do.
Regis
I'll definitely add Seven Pounds to my Netflix Queue when it's out on DVD. Gran Torino as well. Eastwood is one of my favorites. Prior to meeting my wife, 5 years ago, I used to go out to dinner 3 to 5 times a week, alone. Most of the time I would go to my favorite Japanese/Korean restaurant. Over the years I've grown to know the owners and employees. I've never experienced a meal without the owners or wait staff coming over and chatting at length. I'm a personable friendly guy and I try to engage conversation when I'm alone in any restaurant. I usually ask for the same person at each establishment so I can get to know them and they me. Often some of the other wait staff will come over and join in in the conversation because I've been "deemed" as safe. I always get top notch service and good interesting conversation. Of course, it helps to tip well too. I enjoy being married but I do miss those certain times of being single. I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through BBF. =) "Burns" rubber " I've never considered myself to be all that conservative, but it seems the more liberal some people get the more conservative I become. But it has a STRONG plot line with many things going on at one time. The photography is beautiful. He is an engineer. Rosario Dawson is hot wow! Lots of lessons to be learned in this movie. It leaves you drained at the end. WarrenJ
I hate going to a restaurant by myself. Don't know why... I just do. Funny how people differ. One of the great pleasures in my life is going to the local diner every six weeks or so. Alone! I get a table for four (all the way in the back) and spread the Sunday paper all over the place. I order snippets of food delivered at intervals while I inhale the news of the day (did I mention I'm a news junkie?). I'm in good sync with the staff as I tip handsomely. I think they like me. It's possible, of course, they think I'm a dork! Ohooo ... steak tidbits ... french onion soup ... cheese cake!!! :D Whipped cream!!! Patrick7997
lol, Warren... I used to do the same thing. Sit by myself in the smoking section with the paper, get my sunday breakfast, spread out the paper, eat, drink coffee.... If you tip heavily, they could care less what you do... Having a girlfriend sort of killed that, but.... I have no problem going to the movies alone. Dinnertime, I can't eat by myself in a restaurant. I just can't. I'm not sure why.
