Where to add Seafoam In 2000 STS?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys n gals, im wanting to do a seafoam treatment on my STS to clean out the top end of the engine of any possible carbon deposits and was wondering if anybody knew where Im supposed to add it? I know you can add it in the gas tank and oil crankcase, but with my other cars I would add it through the brake booster line to inject it directly into the top of the motor. Where do I add it to acheive this on the STS? This is my first Northstar motor so excuse my ignorance.

If you do a search here a member did a seafoam treatment and started burning oil and leaking badly. There is no need for it, in your northstar, just do the WOT procedure and you will be fine

Do you have any driveability issues? Why do you want to do this? I don't believe the owners manual calls for seafoam. I would stay away from it, regardless of what results you have had with other motors

Im not having any real issues besides a slight hiccup while idling at a traffic light. With the WOT procedure I basically put it in 2nd and floor it up to about 60-70mph then let off of it to about 50mph then floor it again? Repeat procedure?
