PCM Code 076 - Transaxle Pressure Solenoid

I recently purchased a one-owner 1995 Seville STS with 45000 miles. The PCM has started to throw Code 076. The transmission then doesn't engage smoothly into drive, reverse, or park. I know how to reset the PCM to clear the code and have done so more than several times over the past week. I spoke with a transmission specialist and he thinks the problem is probably an electrical ghost. What's odd is that the code only appears when the ambient outside air temperature drops below 56 degrees. I've kept track of temperatures for the past week and started the engine during those temperature ranges. Above 60 degrees no code, below 56 degrees Service Enginge Soon lamp comes on and Code 076 appears on the display. I really don't believe that pressure solenoid is failing. If it was failing the problem would be constant. A head scratcher. Can anyone offer any insight as to what might be the problem and what diagnosis steps should be taken.
