we should start a poll. looks good or not. i am all for nice stylish aftermarket wheels but i think the bigger the rim, the more poorly they are made. i think 98% of all 20" rims on trucks look like crap.

Not only that, but tires that size are all cheap too. Not inexpensive mind you, just cheap. You can't buy a quality brand in much over 19/20".

My question is, how has this changed the handling characteristics and how does it handle bumps. Also, how much stress does this put on the powertrain and how does it affect the VSS and ABS.

If those are 255/30R22s, like was referenced in another thread, they're 28" tall, a full inch taller than stock. There's probably not anything "wrong" with that in terms of clearance, but the speedometer will be off. Braking will be worse (much heavier rotating mass), acceleration will be worse (much heavier rotating mass), the ride and handling will be worse (much heavier unsprung weight). There are really no "wins" here, except for looks...and then, only if you like how it looks.

I suspect that if we thought 22" chrome wheels looked good on these cars, we'd all have 'em. :)

Yea I am stylin and profilin but my ride, rides like sh*t, but I am lookin good. B)

Me?, I guess I am doing the same thing, I use white walls on my Deville, why? because they look better, and what does that cause?, I can't get a high performance tire as a result, because?, all high performance tires are, blackwalls... So, to look better, I have compromised my performance ALSO...

But without high performance tires, your car rides better. For my Allante, I bought lower performance tires to get a better ride that is needed over here in S. California with all the pot holes. If I drove the car a lot especially on the freeway, I probably would switch to 15" wheels and 70 series tires so that it would ride even smoother.

Not a fan of huge rims like that. It makes in look cheap. I think there is nothing wrong with the stock rims. They're actually sporty looking. I would never by anything but stock. But that's just me. I agree with the pillars too, it just looks out of place.

The Seville is a beautifully designed car right out of the box.

I appreciate the owner's attempt to personalize the car, but I would've stopped with the tint and

a good coat of wax ... the car really doesn't need anything else.
