Huckabee Has Moved To The RepublianLead

Recommended Posts

Well, Huckabee has moved into the Republican lead in Iowa with a +5 percentage point lead.

Can you imagine: a person who actually believes the entire universe is only 6,000 years old is standing for the office of President of the United States of America.

And we think the 8th century Islamo-loonies are crazy? I gotta wonder.

There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

Don't believe it at all. This is the drive-by press pumping him up only to knock him down later, they are planting debate questions, the YouTube questions were cherry picked by the Clinton News Network, they highlight Rudy's family problems while ignoring the CLINTONS, see this article

The drive-bys weren't my concern at all. Please re-read my post. Huckabee is a nut-case.

There are NUTS out there. Huckabee is one of them.

Oh I know he is, the only reason he is ahead in the poles is due to the press... I was reading about him in the Post tonight

There's a reason it can be found in men's rooms . . . just next to Newsday.

EDIT: It can be found in birdcages also.

I would much rather have a person in the White House that ascribes to a belief that the Earth is 6,000 years old than vote for a socialist (that would be Hillary) who wants more government bureaucracy and spending, including a national health care program that will costs tax payers trillions of dollars, not to mention the additional tax burden such a program will create just in fraud and waste alone. So all in all, when I consider Huckabee's religious beliefs regarding the age of the Earth and Hillary's socialist agenda, Hillary hands-down wins the Nut Job Award.

I don't know about what you guys think but Ron Paul is starting to look pretty good to me.

If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans.

A person who believes the world is only 6,000 years old belongs in a pulpit, not in the Oval Office. I don't even want to consider his views on Armageddon.

I wouldn't let him change my Republican oil.

If indeed there is a God, Hillary will not become our next president.

However, come January, 2009 you might need to examine the converse.

Not withstanding the fact that he has about a zero chance of gaining the nomination, he *IS* interesting.

Just the same, his isolationist views make him unworthy. He'll go no further than did Pat Bucannon

Is Huckabee's 6,000-year-old Earth belief the real reason why you have a problem with him or does it go deeper than that? His views concerning Earth's age stems from his religious beliefs based on the Bible. Some believe the Earth is 4 billion years old and some believe it's 10,000 or 6,000 years old based on the Bible.

I think it's not possible to be highly religious and be a politician at the same time, unless of course you count devil worship as a religion.

That said, I think these politicians who claim to be "religious" are only playing the religion card for the Evangelical, "bible belt" and Orthodox votes. They're all full of *smurf*.

That is the real reason; it doesn't go any deeper.

It is simply irrational to believe the world is less than billions of years old. The evidence is incontrovertible.

I don't want an irrational person in the Oval Office. Period.

The one thing we don't need is religious zealots in politics, even phoney religious zealots for that matter. Any religion, taken to the extreme believes in end times and works hard to achieve it.

Marika,

Wouldja slow down already? I didn't even get a chance to reply!

But yes, that religion card is hard for a politician to resist. And they most certainly are full of "it."

1] Henry Hyde (recently deceased).

2] Joe Lieberman.

There's a list of politicians with integrity. Can anyone add to the list?

Anyone . . . ?

Regards,

Warren

P.S. Sad isn't it, that half the people on my list are dead?

May God help you.
