According to the emails I received from Moog, it will be 4th quarter of this year before they release bushings for the Cadillacs. If they do, that's fine, but if they don't, and my other side goes bad, I'll install another set of Last Shot Auto Parts bushings.

I am going to call my contact to confirm this on Monday, at least we will have two sources, I cant believe that my contact has been non responsive, this is not what I expected from Moog

First of all: really great work BBF!

Is there any update on the status from Moog?

That looks like an interesting option, it uses poly bushings which are hard but flex as the original cross axis ball joint does...

I would be interested in trying these, its gotta be better than the looseness I have currently. Poly is tough stuff, I use poly strut rod bushings

Kevin did you use these?

I used the kit from Last Shot Auto Parts. It is a cross axial ball joint from another brand of car that is machined to fit the Cadillac knuckle. I should have replaced both sides but figured bu the time the other side was worn out, the Moog parts would be available a lot cheaper from the local parts store. Within 2 months after replacing only one side, the opposite side quickly deteriorated.

The last time I contacted Federal Mogul (Manufacturer of Moog products), they told me their bushings would be available the fourth quarter of this year so maybe they are available by this time. It took two email inquiries before they responded.

Has anyone checked out their website? I read the entire thread and looked for my car on the Federal-Mogul website. After selecting my vehicle's specs, I found this. Are these the parts or am I wrong? Do left and right matter or are they both the same?

Part number

-k200174(Rr suspension; upper)

Those look like they are the rear knuckle bushings. They are the same from side to side but different top to bottom.

Do both sides - even if one side isn't loose as if you fix one side and not the other, the side you didn't fix will quickly deteriorate.

Moog finally produced the upper and lower bushings, as noted above by stsbank, here they are. I found them at rockauto for about $20 each! The list of vehicles covered is on this photo. Here is a link to the knuckle replacement I did on my 96 Deville, the knuckle came from the scrap yard.
