adallak Posted August 9, 2006 Report Share Posted August 9, 2006 If you have to blead the brakes but do not have neither a bleader handy, nor a helper who could understand correctly your commands (GFs are notorious for doing exactly opposite to what you just said ) you can use a properly sized piece of 2 x4. Just press the brake pedal and position that piece between the pedal and the driver seat. Remember, you can move the seat if needed. Release the bleader screw and retighten it. Remove slowly the 2 x 4 and put it slowly back. Repeat the procedure several times untill the pedal is firm enough. This technique saved me time in several occasions.
