  1. Cadillac Racing drivers Johnny O'Connell and Andy Pilgrim are ready for the Pirelli World Challenge Series Cadillac Grand Prix of Belle Isle, May 30 - June 1. The Detroit Grand Prix Circuit on Belle Isle is very much a home race for Cadillac Racing. The drivers can clearly see General Motors world headquarters off in the distance as they race around the 2.3-mile, 13-turn modified street course. O'Connell (Flowery Branch, Ga.) has almost owned the island, winning three of the last four World Challenge GT races held on the circuit in the middle of the Detroit River. Teammate Pilgrim (Boca Raton, Fla.) has posted two podium finishes in Detroit. The duo come into the fifth and sixth races of the season, Detroit is a double race weekend, with O'Connell second in GT points and Pilgrim in third. Team Cadillac successfully competes in the Pirelli World Challenge with the CTS-V.R, a special racing version of the CTS-V Coupe. In 2014, Team Cadillac will be defending their manufacturer’s championships and the driver’s championships they won in 2012 and 2013. Team Cadillac drivers Johnny O'Connell and Andy Pilgrim will take on the undulating Barber Motorsports Park in this weekend's Pirelli World Challenge Series Barber Grand Prix presented by RECARO. O'Connell (Flowery Branch, Ga.) and Pilgrim (Boca Raton, Fla.) will be racing at the 2.38-mile, 17-turn Barber Motorsports Park located just east of Birmingham, Alabama for the time. The duo had the chance to get a view of the Alabama track through the windshield of the Cadillac CTS.V.R on the way to the season opener at St. Pete where they had a two days of testing. The duo come into the race with Pilgrim leading O'Connell in the driver standings by 36 points (224 to 188) with Cadillac leading the GT manufacturer ranks.
