HEY ALL........ Havent repost on my stalling problem. Been busy with buying a new toy! Bought a 84 Corvette for summer fun! Got a one owner garage queen from a guy locally. 62k miles Paint is real nice n shiny, runs well, typical drivers seat rips, warm a/c, needs tires. Paid $4500 for it. Will get to the Caddy issue shortly!

Starts fine cold no noises.......... Bet it is that idle learn procedure........... Prob didnt do it rite. will try again......... Gotta hold off today... Impala rear brakes grinding at 103k Gotta order from rockauto and get another magnet!

I had read that they had the "cheater" plugs on them to shut off service lights. Also the "cheaters" for the front shocks/struts/yada also. Kills me the "experts" over there said it couldnt be done!

FUNNY........... Those idiots at the other caddy forum cut me a new a-hole for even mentioning this would NEVER work and i was a fool for posting about it ! I guess those "experts" aint so smart ! -shakes head-

ROCK.............The shocks u installed from arnott are "air shocks" correct? Did u hook them to the factory compressor air lines?

Hmmmm I do note a code 52 when doing the diagnosis also. Well the old battery did go dead and I had a new one installed after blower replacement. Then the stall started. Checked a wiring, hoses etc. and they seem secure and in place. So I will give the reprogram procedure a shot. I DO HAVE A cADDY service manual also.

Well the new fan and replacement controller work as they should. So I guess I am good for now............. Will see how this new/used controller lasts this time. Maybe it was the old failing fan that killed the controller? I guess time will tell............. There is a new 91 in the local pic n pull yard so may make a trip to snag the controller.

WOAH! What a job! Had to move wiring and maxi fuse panels along with some engine harness to get the old motor and cage as i couldnt seperate the fan from the motor. Also couldnt remove the cage off the new blower as it was pressed on also. BUT it did have a nut on it wheras the original didnt. Had a hole broken in the top of the plastic HVAC housing. Some "tinknockers tape" and a shot of black paint fixed the hole. But its all together engine side and working along with the new/used controller. I am suprized that there was enuff room without having to tilt engine for clearance! NOT going to put the dash back together untill I recheck the soder joints and internals on the 4 broken controllers and maybe one of them still work. Easy to plug them into open dash to check operation. Time for a cold one! (sorry no pics)

Well Rock, Opened up the grille on the wirewall in font of windsheild. Some crud from the trees and leaves and such. NO mouse nest. Result: Blower motor weak and dying. Starts running with a rap with the mechanics helper! LOL! But blowing slow............... What kind of job to replace? I can touch the face of the fan blade from the top of firewall tho and it spins freely. Motor cherping when running.

YEA...........Pretty sure its down behind the engine on the firewall like my deville. Gonna fish out vent tubes with a long plastic gadget I got at the dollar store to clean hair out of drains. More flexible that the trusty coat hanger! Gotta be gentle probing around all those 30+yo doors and motors in the HVAC guts. Hope it works to free up fan or the real work will begin! Dam critters.................
