  1. Check this: If you go to "My Controls" and click on "Board Setting" under "Options" you will see a setting that allows you to see these: Do you wish to view images in posts, such as smilies and posted images? Y/N Choose Yes.
  2. Yes, someone else was having a no-smilies problem too. What I think is that I had turned off graphics for guests, so that if one loaded graphics while a guest while they were turned off, you got X's. And now your browser has them cached as missing. By reloading the cache (Control-F5 apparently) you ask the browser to try again to find them. I am keen to discover what fixes this.
  3. yes, What Jim said. One Reference also says it might be a cache issue, and suggests you hit Control-F5 to reload.
  4. That appears to be the Chilton Guide; note the 9104, and the images are in a directory called "chiltonimages". It is from this book: Chiton's General Motors: Deville/Fleetwood/Eldorado/Seville 1990-98 Repair Manual by Rick Van Dalen (0801991048 0-8019-9104-8) Oh -- from this page you can reach manuals for a lot of different cars: http://arrc.epnet.com/autoasp/index.asp?si...main.autorefctr ARRC = Auto Repair Reference Center
  5. I setup an account on photobucket, and was able to immediately post a picture. They help you by providing links to display the photo, or to a tag or a link. http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h115/cad...os/IMAG0189.jpg for example is a photo of my CTS Corsa system before it went on the CTS, and http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h115/cad...os/IMAG0190.jpg is an "after" view. Using something called Bucket show, this slideshow link: http://w62.photobucket.com/widgets/dynamic...ddyinfo_photos/ The only thing I don't see is that they don't offer pre-scaled image versions. And the gadget here on the board does not remember scaling well. So you basically have to scale the image to the size you want it to be then put it on photobucket. I do see they offer thumbnails though if you click the box under an image then choose "generate html", which seems very good:
  6. I would love to see more photos in posts. Outside photo links are a triple win though, as they don't consume disk space here, they are not limited in size as we need to limit the photos posted here, and they don't count in the board bandwidth limits/cost.
  7. Started on an overall / overdue caddyinfo.com home site makeover. The http://www.caddyinfo.com page and indexed pages are updated. I will work through the rest of the site day by day, page by page. You can still hit the old home page at http://www.caddyinfo.com/orig_index.html btw if you get home sick.
  8. The Subscription links got broken somehow, and were showing a fatal error when you clicked on them. I have fixed that now; they are here: http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?act...subs&CODE=index Also added a direct donation button back on the http://www.caddyinfo.com homepage, with more info on how to get to the forum contribution link above in case that was what the reader intended.
  9. Cafepress has added black t-shirts as a new item style. Here is a link: http://www.cafepress.com/caddyinfo.59158938 This one has a Northstar Engine on it: A bit pricey perhaps at $20.99, but $2 of that goes to Caddyinfo.com. I am open for ideas on stuff you'd like to see at the Caddyinfo Cafepress store.
  10. Link to Cardio-Doc's current Ebay auctions (this is a search link): Please direct questions about any of the products shown to Cardio-Doc via the appropriate auction. He's not here, he's out picking up more wheels in his Lamborghini.
  11. [attachmentid=2570] ooooh aaaaaah -- 3.6L VVT V6 mouse pads! http://www.cafepress.com/caddyinfo.9995842
  12. This forum is a handy place to find our demographic and info polls. You don't HAVE to post polls here, but they will end up here eventually.
  13. I want to try this new forum as "A quiet, elegant Clubhouse with nice fireplace and easy chairs, where you can chat about other things besides Cadillacs". No hate, no shouting, no out of control karoke please.
  14. This is one of my favorite references for Cadillacs year to year: (The link is setup as a referral link from Caddyinfo.com.) The picture says 2004, but the link goes to the 2005 version.
  15. This form is repaired now. I am not sure the % of benefit; since it is no extra cost to the readers, any thing that comes back to the site is gravy anyway. UPDATE: 4% to 8% depending on volume.
  16. Dropped the Google Cadillac news RSS feed; too much noise (nonrelated articles). Added a press release RSS feed to GM Powertrain news. Added RSS feeds to Yahoo User reviews of new cars: 2007 CTS and 2006 CTS-V Changed validation to user email validation then Admin validation.
  17. This is a moderated forum to put Cadillac links. A moderated forum means that new posts will not appear until I have a chance to review the site and agree that it is Cadillac related. When a user posts, it send me an email with the post for moderation, then once I agree it shows up here.
  18. If the message forum is down, to check the server status, please go to http://www.caddyinfo.com and click on "Server" at the top. We are on Server19 on our forum host, so that will let you know if the problem is the server or specific to Caddyinfo. Sometimes I have to hit refresh to get a complete server status list from that site. The direct link is here: http://www.ipshosting.net/ thanks, bruce
  19. Click on "My Controls" at the top of the page. Click on "Purchase Paid Subscriptions" on the left. Select either one-time Contribution or Subscription and press "continue to select payment method".
  20. The Cadillac Bears all sold out, and I don't have a supplier to get more from.
  21. Changed user group titles as follows: "Member" changed to "Registered" These are readers who have registered with the site and are able to post and reply to posts, except in contributing/subscribing member only sections, and participate in polls, but do not help to support the site financially. "Contributing Member" changed to "CaddyInfo Contributor" "Subscribing Member" changed to "CaddyInfo Subscriber" These are members who are able to post and reply to posts in all sections, start polls, and who have contributed to CaddyInfo, either at the yearly rate (contributing) or at the monthly rate (subscribing).
  22. Changed the ability to post polls to contributing/subscribing members only.
  23. Added Edit feature 30 min limit (thanks to bobistheoilguy for advice on how to handle this): All right.. This is a very important feature that eveyone needs to be aware of... The EDIT feature. In the recent past, we have had people provide great info, but for one reason or another, they have gotten upset, then they will go back and clear out all of their posts leaving blanks thoughout the thread. NO LONGER will this happen. The edit feature is still available BUT, you will have a limit of 30 mins to re edit the post. After which, it will lock out any more editing. More than enough time to post, re read, think, smoke a cigarete, and edit again. If for some reason this seems a little to short, let me know with a pm.
  24. Please visit http://www.cafepress.com/caddyinfo for website related items.
