  1. You are doing it correctly, but if you charged it with a can of freon and the compressor still doesnt stay on for more than a couple seconds its possible the sensor is bad, thus you are charging a system that could already be charged. Buy a sensor and take it to someone that can capture the freon in the system, you change the sensor (very easy) then have them recharge it.
  2. x2, always much bigger in person than in pictures. I have a cadillac book that talks about every model of every year cadillacs and by the numbers the 74-76 deville/fleetwoods were the longest ever produced. But the shear mass of the 50s and 60s cars just have more of a presence then the boxy 70s and 80s cars. They arent the biggest by numbers but they are the biggest in person and I love big cars
  3. chirping? Thats odd. Like anything just narrow it down to the area its coming from. Could be internal like timing chain or external like belts and pulleys. Could even be exhaust leaking or fan clutch. Try to narrow it down.
  4. 60918023482611 This discount code expires on August 21, 2011; so don't wait!
  5. Those cheapo gauges you can buy by the freon are junk. For my DTS it claimed it was in the red when in reality it was where it needed to be. Dont go by those junk gauges people, use a real set of gauges. From the ALL CAPS post I thought it was the end of the world! Just the beginning of the summer season and a few new members needing help with their precious a/c Hopefully a few stick around
  6. Prepping new taillight fillers for installation. These things never line up like OE parts

  7. Oil pan gasket? Bout 4 hours of work minus lunch and setup/cleanup. This was on my LT1 in my fleetwood not a northstar if you wondering. Felpro makes a 1 piece permaseal gasket that requires no sealer so it makes it a really easy gasket change. Over a week now and its as dry as the day I changed it under there :)

  8. How long did that take? what did you use to seal it?

  9. 48210043482611 April 3rd I noticed you can use the codes more than once.
  10. I used this one thanks. Ill post mine when they send it to me
  11. as ive learned from buying colored shirts and auto parts online, color varies GREATLY from computer to computer! Flashes, sunlight, non sunlight, monitor type, monitor settings, all mess with colors. I just learn not to trust the color on the screen when ordering stuff like carpets or fabrics or whatever!
  12. Its a stock blue actually, not repainted. My motor and frame are painted an 83 honda blue though, it is the color I will be repainting the car. Besides that point; Rockauto had the o2 sensors I needed for half oreilly prices!
  13. thanks adallak. Basically got free shipping for my new o2 sensors on my fleetwood Im sure ill get a 5% code in an email soon Ill post up for others to use.
