winterset reacted to herownbagger in 90 Deville misses and stalls
So we've been looking at things on the car, never did do a fuel pressure test because we found that there is a leak. The vapor tube from the gas tank that runs to the emissions canister up at the front of the car is pulling fuel up to the canister. So we pulled the tank again to see If there was a kink somewhere but nothing. We changed out the fuel filter because weirder things have happened to me when it comes to my vehicles. But it is still doing the same thing.
    Any ideas on this!

Unfortunately with the covid thing I'm tight on money.  If I have to replace it I will do that.

Before you open a door, roll down the window, and verify opening a door shuts off the circuit. Next step will be to leave the dome light on, and verify that after 15 minutes, the RAP (retained accessory power?) turns off the circuit.  If the car has the obsolete onstar module in the trunk near the antenna, disconnect it.

I purchased an electric HF orbital polisher for $69.99 a few months ago.  I used it for all but my '96 deville.  I almost bought an air polisher, but i happened to run into a detailer, and he gave convincing reasons to go with this.  I purchased a glaze compound, and the polishing pads.  It worked well.  He really stressed that as a beginner it is very important to have an orbital, so we don't leave swirl marks.

Umm....you may have been trying too hard. On my 2001 (same car)...you simply pulled straight up to unlatch the rear seat. I think they tried to make it easy for a woman to do since the battery is..in fact..under the back seat.
Not like the rear GM seats of yesterday where you really had to push-in to get the lower cushion to unlatch.
